Story board about Bruce Wayne’s trip to Heidelberg  to the DKOM 2019:

Bruce has registered toattend SAP’s annual developers’ kick-off event (DKOM 2019) taking place fromMay 13 – 17 in Heidelberg, Germany. Therefore, he needs to book a return tripfrom Nice, France to Frankfurt, Germany.

On his desktop, from his Fiorilaunchpad, he calls the My Travel Requests app. After entering the general tripdata, an advance of €200 (not visible in video) and flight data in the TravelServices section, he saves and submits the travel request (with trip number 455and in status “Pending”) to his manager.

Bruce’s manager approves the travelrequest (this step is not visible in the video) using either the SAP Fiori MyInbox app – or any application connected with SAP Workflow or the SAP the WebDynpro Travel Approver application.

After approval, Bruce refreshes theMy Travel Requests application and the travel request appears in status“Approved”. As a result, the link “Book Flight, Hotel, Car Rental” in the appis now active.

By clicking on this link, Bruce isdirected onto the Amadeus cytric site. He is connected via SSO so his userprofile is replicated. Also, the flight availability request within cytric isprepopulated with data he entered in the travel request .

Bruce validates the airport byclicking on “Next” (blue arrow). The available flights corresponding to histravel dates and times are displayed. Bruce selects a direct flight operated byLufthansa and clicks on “continue with the selected option”. Then he selectsthe fare that suits his business needs and clicks on “continue”.   Onthe “Flight Booking” page, Bruce is free to choose flight options (e.g. bookinga seat or pieces of baggage).  Data from his profile such as his billingaddress, credit card and frequent flyer information and preferences are alreadyprovided. After clicking on “Continue” Bruce can choose “Ticket option for thisbooking”. Afterwards, he is free to add another flight, hotel or rental carduring this session – or to complete this booking.

On the Confirmation page , theconfirmation number appears . ( cytric internal Trip ID ). The flights are nowtentatively booked (pending manager’s approval) and Bruce can log out fromcytric and synchronize the booking in the My Travel Request app using thecorresponding button. Once synchronized, the booking data is recorded on theSAP database under the corresponding trip number (455). As a result, the flightbooking is attached to the travel request and serves as the basis for asubsequent creation of a travel expense report after Bruce returns fromFrankfurt.

By clicking on “Display/Print”, Brucetriggers the PDF of the Travel Plan. It reflects the information found on theSAP database.
