Time-Dependent Thresholds for Indicators - SAP Asset Performance Management
Watch the video now or in 20 sec.

This feature essentially introduces versioning for thresholds in the indicator chart.

This means, if thresholds are updated for a given indicator, the indicator chart simultaneously displays the previous threshold values for the corresponding previous period, and the current threshold for the current period. So if an upper threshold is increased to such an extent that the thrown alert is no longer critical, you can easily see this via the colour visualization on the indicator chart. This is particularly useful if you select a long time frame to view indicators.

Being able to easily visualize historical threshold changes makes the process of analyzing instances where indicators exceed set limits (violation) and the corresponding alerts simpler and more effective.

By examining how threshold values have changed over time, you can better understand the context of these violations and alerts. This historical context helps you see if threshold violations are isolated incidents or part of a larger pattern, helping you make more informed decisions about how to address them.
